Maroochy Eye Specialists is an Ophthalmology practice established in 2020, which offers the highest standard of care for patients needing specialist assessment and treatment of a comprehensive range of eye concerns.
Dr David Posselt is the founding ophthalmologist.  He has been providing eye care on the Sunshine Coast since 2011, and has a reputation for excellent communication, thorough care, and very safe delivery of treatment options. The team expanded in 2023 to include Dr Ebony Smith and Dr Tuan Tran, both of whom have exceptional knowledge and surgical skills, and offer care based on the most up-to-date ophthalmic information, based on listening to the individual patient’s concerns and needs.
The generously sized new eye clinic is fully equipped with the latest examination and imaging devices to allow patients to receive the very best care, in a space that has been thoughtfully designed to allow patients to feel comfortable.  There is a dedicated eye laser room, as well as a minor procedure room on site for small procedures.  Larger operations are undertaken at Sunshine Coast Day Surgery, Kawana Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital or Ramsay Clinic Caloundra (from January 2025).
